Fun Friday Discussion!
Okay so last night I as talking to my friend (and XF noob, ILU BB!) vamp926 after she watched Field Trip for the last time and as we squeed over Twitter, I realized that the handholding at the end of Field Trip is actually one of my more appreciated M/S moments.
When you think about it, one of the reasons why M/S is so endearing is because while they have these huge, epic moments of love, like the touchstone scene, the hallway scene in FTF, etc., they also have these really small moments that just completely define their love and their need for each other. I love the hand-holding at the end of Field Trip because it was this moment when even though they were half-eaten alive by acid, they still felt this need to reach out to each other. That in itself is simply moving, their tactile wants. And Scully seems to reach out without even looking at Mulder, like she merely senses him. Another one of mine is the 'smile, Scully' scene in Pusher. I find that moment just so lovely.
So I ask you...
