The many definitions of Emo
"Emo" short for "Emotional" is a typical fad sweeping the United States, especially California. Emo children typically shop at Hot Topic, because that's cool, obviously, and they don't want to shop at those preppy stores like Abercrombie and Fitch (Although the clothes are the same price anyway) If you don't have hair covering at LEAST 1 1/2 of your eyes, you're either a weak emo or a cancer ridden one. Optionally, you may have pseudo-sideburns, which is just hair put in place of regular sideburns, even for women.
It's also a must to have a screen name with something similar to xXDarkxLonelyxInTheNightXx, just make sure there are plenty of X's, and even more thought inspiring words that also ensue a wave of sadness :( .
Apart from all that, you also need to take a picture of yourself in the mirror, looking away from the camera, and sad (but you should always look sad in the first place, you stupid hippy) And post it on a Myspace account, with a header such as "Welcome to the nothingness of my life". After that, several of the more high-strung Emos (although they are far and few between) will say "w00t, that pic rulez!" GO GET A HAIRCUT.

Emo 1: I feel as if I'm nothing... a wave of eternal detriment is strewn about my forlorn soul in an epilouge of untold justice, yet unknown to me, a bleak desire for darkness corrodes my mind.
