I will be at the library at 9am, ready to buy my (reserved) copy. A few years ago, you had to wait a few weeks for the HP book to arrive in Italian bookstores... now we get the books (english version, not the translation) the same day as the rest of the civilized world.

After book 7, I will live on fanfic.

My favourite HP book is "HP & the order of the phoenix", because it's darker and more adult than the others...

Me too :) With the last book I made the mistake of preordering it via Amazon, and then had to wait 2 weeks (!!) while every bookshop in town had the windows full of brand new HBP copies. The money saved wasn't worth the suffering.

I'm kinda terrified of the big 7th book of doom though, I've a feeling it will be a major disappointment, what with most of my favourite characters being on JKR black list. I'll probably sit on it for a few days gathering the courage to read and see ^//^

I loved OoTP, and I'm probably one of the few who didn't hate Dolores, I found her quite funny. But my fav is HBP, mostly because of the much needed character developement going on down in the dungeons.

I did order it from amazon but caved and bought it from Feltrinelli. When my amazon copy arrived, I sold it to a friend :P :P
I also remember that I was reading the book the very same day it came out... and then Studioaperto spoiled me for who died later in the book. I cried a little.

I liked Dolores in all her petty cruelty and self-righteousness. She is deliciously cruel.

my fav is HBP, mostly because of the much needed character developement going on down in the dungeons.

Yes! thank you JK Rowling! but I still think the slytherins have so much potential! I:hearts;Draco.

Spoiled by Studioaperto o_0 That's depressing...
With me it was a troll in a slash community, who made tons of posts spoiling...everything, more or less. Grr. I'm thinking of making some nice "on hiatus reading DH" banners and stay away from LJ while reading this time.

Exactly! Deliciously cruel, a bit like Cruella DeVil in 101 Dalmatians, just less classy ;)

I:hearts;Draco.
Squee! Mee too! That's why I'm terrified of the 7th book, Draco and Snape are my favs, and I worry one (or both) of them won't survive it. Sniff.
I loved the way she wrote Draco in the Tower scene, I hope JKR won't simply drop that plotline. Like you said, the Slyths have so much potential, I just wish she'd stop focusing on the growling monsters in Harry's gut (yay, no more of that!) and give them a chance.

Way depressing. It went a bit like this:
Me: *reads HP&Half_blood Prince avidly*
Mom: look, they are showing the HP bookstore openings!!*
Me: *keeps reading*
Mom: daughter!! i am talking to you!
Me: Eh?
Studioaperto: [blahblah]... and we'll tell you that D. dies at the end of the book
Me: *cries*
Mom: wtf, they just told how it ends!!!
Me: *criesandciresandcries*

With me it was a troll in a slash community
Bastardooooooooooooo!!!!

Do you slash Draco with Harry? I do.

*cough*LOL*cough*

...I mean *hugs* that's horrible and sad!...and your mother sounds creepily like my own. But she's learned to stay away when I'm buried in a book and cackling like a maniac concentrating. I think I scare her.

Do you slash Draco with Harry? I do.
Uh, you mean there are other ships out there? *blinks*
H/D was my otp for a looong time, then an evil author by the name of femmequixotic came along and got me addicted to Snape/Draco. Now I have two OTPs, and need theraphy :P
And you? It's all h/d all the time or do you indulge in some guily shipping on the side?

I think that all the italian mothers pretty much sounds the same. It's in the blood, I tell you!

Once I "lost" my sister and my father because I was reading.
Imagine:
Sun: *shines*
Waves: *crash on the beach*
People: *swim/play/make noise*
Mom: *sleeps in the sun*
Me: *readsreadsreads*
Dad: Daughter, your sister and I are going to the beach volley tournament
Me: *reads* OK.
Time: *passes*
Mom: *wakes up* daughter, where's you sister?
Me: *reads* Eh?
Mom: where are your sister and your father?
Me: I don't know.
Mom: *eye twitches*
Me: I'll go looking.
Me: *walks around the beach*
Dad&sister: *returs*
Mom: *yells* wherewereyou?whydidn'tyousayanything?Iwasdeadscared
Dad: we told daughter.
Me: eh? no you didn't tell me anything!!
Family: *facepalm*
Mom: *screams in frustration*

from that moment, they make sure I am actually looking them in the eyes and I understand before giving me info/instruction. Eh.

Uh, you mean there are other ships out there? *blinks*Really ( ... )

Yup, it must be some weir italian gene that starts interfering the moment you get pregnant and keeps working till death (E ricordati la maglia di lana! Urlato da mia nonna a mia madre, rispettivamente 82 e 57 anni o_0).

from that moment, they make sure I am actually looking them in the eyes and I understand before giving me info/instruction
LollolLol! I do exactly the same thing! I'm told that if questioned I can even answer appropriately, while never being fully aware somebdy's been talking to me ^//^

Top!Draco=*drools*
Unfortunatley in most fics Draco gets..."bottomized" a lot more than Harry, it's incredibly annoying. At the very least he should be the bossiest, bitchiest bottom on earth!
I've never got into snarry, which is strange since I love both characters. I guess I just can't see it, but, as someone said: "UST is in the eye of the beholder".

May I friend you? It would be nice to have someone to squee over H/D with that is also italian :)

friend away! I'll friend you back!
I have to warn you though: I mainly write about my RL (which is regulary kicking my ass) and not at all about fandom, less of all Draco/Harry.

If Draco has to be the bottom, he may as well tops from the bottom. *nodsnodsnods* But top!Draco is still the best thing ever!

Not a problem, my LJ is mostly about RL too, although lately it's mostly been about whining on my thesis ^-^

*goes friending*

PS: I've just finished reading Old School by corvidae9, one of the best HD I've stumbled upon in the last months. And it has a great draco, not exactly top!D. -no pr0n in there- but strong, and very well matched to her Harry. It's worth a read, if have the time :)
