File 14 - Request for Time Off

It's been brought to my attention that there's been a family emergency back at the estate, and I need to leave Inaba right away. There was an accident and Grampa was injured. He appears to be in stable condition, but I want to be there by his side when he wakes up.

Hakuba has offered to send me a healing potion, so once Grampa regains consciousness, I'll see if he can take some in his tea. It could certainly help.

Yes. The pattern being that she appeared on television recently, and now everyone is talking about her. In fact, it seems that everyone is more interested in Rise-chan's arrival than the heist at the museum... Funny how fast people lose interest in "old news."

Huh, that is true about the television thing... it's so obvious when you mention it. As for everyone talking about her, that's to be expected, I guess. Small town like Inaba, news travels fast and people want to hear the latest gossip.

I have to pay attention to even the slightest details. It's what a detective does, after all. It seems insignificant, but I believe the culprit uses the television as a means of determining his next victim. Not that I expect the chief to believe such a theory... but its part of the overall pattern.
