Sep 09, 2009 12:22

How disappointing... Miss Risette's kiss contained absolutely no pathos whatsoever. In fact, it lacked any sort of emotion at all. Ah, to leave this humble thief feeling so cold and bereft. She is certainly not "the one"...

And so, my search continues... My second target!

To my darling Yosuke,

I have stolen that which you prize most: that thing which ( Read more... )

Are you thoroughly impressed with my work?

((W-wow. Flashier than Kid?! That's saying something! Does Naoto win a prize?))

Being well-guarded does not serve as the only indicator of an item's true value. It's how much a person feels attached to that item that proves its worth.

I'm only interested in "priceless" possessions.

((I was actually kinda going for an even more over-the-top version of Kid for this virus... Because Naoto is normally terrified of being the center of attention.))

People are the only creatures on this planet to form attachments to "things". Some people form especially strong attachments to a particular group of things. We call these people "collectors." And you'd be surprised at some of the things people collect throughout their relatively short lives; many of these items would be considered worthless to most.

It's that "attachment" which interests me the most. Why do people feel so strongly toward a particular thing? What sort of personal history is tied up with that object? If that item should be lost, what is that person willing to sacrifice to regain it?

Precisely! You're quite the clever boy, aren't you~?♥

One could say that "love" is simply a very strong attachment to a person rather than an object. I would argue that love is the greatest form of attachment that one can experience.

Is that such a bad thing? I never claimed to imitate him. We are two different people, searching for very different things.

That is true, but there's more to it than that. I get the feeling that he too is searching for something rare and special. What that thing is, I cannot guess.

I hope he finds it, whatever it is.
