[Locked // Hackable]
Oh, God, I did it again, didn't I? And, apparently, I was posting to my journal at the time, too... Naoto Shirogane, how pathetic can you be? Passing out on the floor of your own bedroom. Couldn't you even drag your sorry ass the three feet necessary to crawl into bed?

My head hurts and I've got a terrible crick in my neck. ( Read more... )

Still having a hangover? Some of that stuff up there isn't locked very well.

You put a lot of pressure on yourself, looks like.

Um, yes. I've been informed as much. I suppose I'll need to focus on my programming skills now...

I must. I'm the fifth successor to the Shirogane name, a family of detectives. I have to live up to that name, and bring honor to my forefathers.

Well, as long as you know. I could probably give you a few pointers if you want.

...this all sounds terribly familiar. You're not just doing this because of your family, are you?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

No, I... I truly feel that this is my calling. Being a detective is something I was born to do. I can't imagine myself in any other occupation. But I also want to make my family proud. We have a reputation to maintain, after all. The Shirogane name is nationally acclaimed as offering only the finest detectives.

as for the help on locking: assume? gonnabe1st September 3 2009, 20:24:40 UTC
Mmhm. Sure thing.

As long as you like doing it, I'm sure it's worth it. It's definitely an interesting job.

That works. Naoto could get lessons from him tomorrow? truthinfortune September 3 2009, 22:31:25 UTC
Would you like to come by the Shirogane estate tomorrow? I'll provide lunch and tea in exchange for your time.

Yes, and it's very rewarding work, too. With each criminal I apprehend, I feel like I've made a difference in the world. It's a good feeling.

Sure, works for me. gonnabe1st September 3 2009, 22:55:19 UTC
Alright, sounds good. I can't world-hop myself, but that should hardly be a problem.

Hm. True, I suppose. And given the reputation of your family, you're not about to run out of cases any time soon.

Hm, well, if you can't secure transport, I can ask my cousin to bring you. His name is Minato Arisato. He's trustworthy.

Well, I'm still working on building my credentials as a private detective, so I have to work as an attache for the police force as much as possible.

Oh? I didn't know you two were related. But yeah, he's who I was thinking of, too. I know him a little.

...that can't be half as interesting as working by yourself. ...but then, I guess you gotta start somewhere.

We're... distant cousins. We only just recently reconnected, though this community.

Actually, I don't usually enjoy working with the police force. But I must grin and bear, for now.

Hmm. Who knew, the community actually managed something positive for a change.

It'll pass.

From what little I've seen about the nature of this place, I'm a bit surprised myself.

I know. But sometimes I get rather impatient. No one can make time move forward, I suppose.

...you've been here how long?

I know how that feels. Really nothing to be done about it. You can always investigate this place by yourself though, it's pretty interesting to research. But then, you're probably not one to run out of things to do, huh.

Almost a month.

I suppose not. When I'm not working on a case, I'm usually tinkering around in the workshop, or scouting around for more work. This community will provide a great deal of interest for me.

...they're getting along really well aren't they? gonnabe1st September 4 2009, 02:24:23 UTC
Well, that gives you a pretty good idea I'm sure.

Especially since there are a few other people from your world here too.

Is that... weird? God, I need to read up on DN, like, yesterday! truthinfortune September 4 2009, 02:30:41 UTC
Most assuredly. Although, some of the members are just as unpleasant as the viruses this community is so fond of spreading.

Ah, to whom are you referring to specifically? Did they mention my name to you?
