Hm... It's been a year since he and I met that day at the Samegawa River... [a soft laugh] To think such an innocuous meeting would be the prelude to a wonderful relationship. I never would have conceived of such a possibility back then...
It's funny how the most unexpected friendships often turn out to be the most enduring. But I am grateful for them, nonetheless.
[She sighs softly.] Life is peaceful around here. I'm beginning to wonder if we're the only ones who can actually recall the events which transpired in Inaba so long ago? Is human memory really such a transient thing? For this reason, I am glad that I've been diligently keeping this journal. I don't want to lose these memories, no matter how painful they may be... They are all precious to me, because they have shaped me into the person I am today.
It's strange. While I'm grateful for the peaceful life I lead, some days I find myself yearning for the time when Senpai and I fought side by side inside the TV world...
Maybe that's why I've been feeling so restless lately. It's been a long time since Yamato-Takeru has been able to draw his blade against a worthy foe. I wouldn't exactly mind a sparring match myself... Even if I'm not the one holding the sword...
