File 03 - Intermission

I've returned to the estate. Grampa was pleased with the results of my investigation. We spent some time reminiscing together. I wish I could tell him about this community, but I don't think he'd believe me, even if I did. Best to be discreet about the time I spend here ( Read more... )

Indeed, it is. I can't imagine what their reason was for hanging the corpse upside down. It's... quite a disturbing image, akin to a crucifixion.

Nothing like this has ever happened in the Yasoinaba region before. It's a small, quiet town. But I suppose even idyllic country towns can hide the blackest of hearts.

I haven't received a summons yet. Dojima-san and Adachi-san are leading the investigation. Adachi-san seems quite confident that they'll apprehend the suspect soon, but he's not exactly reassuring. This is no ordinary murder case, I can tell that much.

I hope you don't think that this is going to distract me from my other case, Kaito Kid. I'm very good at multitasking.

Hakuba has been gracious enough to allow me to assist him in his investigations, and he's granted me full access to any and all restricted areas once the heist goes down.

I certainly look forward to seeing a true phantom thief in action. I'm sure you won't disappoint.

Of course. He was quite clear about that.

Nonetheless, he's still allowing me to assist him. Are you worried that I'm trying to usurp his investigation?

I plan to stay ahead of the curve, if at all possible. And I can't possibly pass up the opportunity to work side-by-side with a master detective, now can I? I intend to learn from the best.

You think so little of your rival?

Hm, no, but the last name sounds familiar. I believe Edogawa-san mentioned him in one of our conversations. Is he a member of this community?

Your overwhelming confidence in your own abilities never ceases to amuse me. Be careful that confidence doesn't become arrogance.

I see. Might I know his user name? I'd also heard mention that the most famous literary detective, Sherlock Holmes, was a member of this community, as well.

Hm, that's a pity. I should have liked to talk to him.
