File 03 - Intermission

I've returned to the estate. Grampa was pleased with the results of my investigation. We spent some time reminiscing together. I wish I could tell him about this community, but I don't think he'd believe me, even if I did. Best to be discreet about the time I spend here ( Read more... )

You sounds a lot like me when I first joined this place Naoto-san.

Really? Hm, well, I suppose we detectives spend more time at our work than we should.

Have you made a lot of friends since joining this community, Hakuba-san?

Indeed, sometimes it's all we can think about.

More than I expected, I was never good making friends.

Oh, I know the feeling quite well. Some of my colleges accuse me of obsession; I like to think I'm just very dedicated to my work.

Neither was I. I'm... actually hoping to make up for lost time. Maybe it's not too late for me to form lasting friendships with good people...

I been accused of that by my coworkers as well, all the good detectives are at some point. It's being devoted to your job, not obsession.

You are doing a good job in my opinion.

I suppose you're right about that.

Well, I certainly do look forward to meeting you in person. I think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship. As colleges, of course.

As long as you don't become too much devoted all will be alright.

So do I. Can I ask you somethign? Who told you about me? I'm just a detective, very good at my job maybe, but there's many others who are even better.

Um... Let me think... There were quite a few people who mentioned your name, once I told them I was a detective myself.

Kanzeon told me about you, and provided your user name. Issei-san also mentioned you by name. I think Edogawa-san also mentioned you, but I can't be too sure. It seems you have quite the reputation.

I join the community a year ago, there weren't many detectives maybe it's because of that.

Kanzeon is one of the few goddess you can trust I need to finish that videogame I'm creating for her; Issei is one of my best friends and Conan is from my world as well.

Probably.

Well, considering that she gave my cousin a job, I think she's trustworthy. I've gotten to know Issei-san quite well, too. He's a friendly sort.

Ah, so Edogawa-san is from your world, too? Intriguing.

She did? What kind of job? Your cousin is on the comm too?

Yes he is. And so is Aoko Nakamori and Ran Mouri.

Um, yes. An errand boy, of sorts, I suppose. His name is Minato Arisato.

Ah, I spoke to Aoko-san, once, to learn more about Kaito Kid. That was when I first joined the community, and I was convinced he was someone just pretending to be a phantom thief. Before I learned about the existence other worlds...

I saw him on the com. He doesn't talk much, right?

Aoko-san loves Kaito-kid. He keeps her father busy and away from home, she is not exactly impartial when it comes to him. But she's a wonderful girl.

I love it, too~ truthinfortune August 27 2009, 00:26:06 UTC
He's a bit reticent, yes. But he seems to have made a number of friends on the community, and that makes me happy.

I see. She was the one who told me about his fan club. I suppose he must be the dashing, handsome sort, to attract such a following. He's probably quite popular with the ladies.

He's a flirt.

Um, well, he wasn't like that when we were children. He smiled a lot more than he does now... But we were separated for a long time, so I don't really know what he was like growing up.

I think that's a requirement for these phantom thieves.
