Because I desperately need a means of world-hopping by my own power. I can't just assume that someone will always be available to give me a hop, especially on short notice. Since Adachi is now a fugitive on another world, I'm going to need a means of following after him. Not only that, I want to be able to travel freely to other worlds so that I can offer my assistance to anyone who needs it, should the situation arise.
