We did it. We won...

The sky has never looked more blue than it has on this cold winter's day. It feels good to see the sun again, after all this time.

Today marks the beginning of the rest of our lives.

Everyone... Let's ensure a future where the Lord of Fog will have no reason to descend on our world ever again.

Good to know that everyone had faith in our abilities!

I feel so incredibly happy! This is going to be the best Christmas ever. I can't wait to see Dojima-san and Nanako-chan.

Quite a turnaround from 'the worst Christmas ever', isn't it?

Definitely! The case is finally now at a close. Adachi-san is under protective custody, and all that remains is to wrap up a few loose ends. Everyone will learn the truth about his crimes... Mayumi Yamano and Saki Konishi will finally be able to rest in peace.

Everyone is back to normal, and none the wiser. No one will ever know how we saved the world from a slow annihilation. But that's okay. All that matters is that everyone is safe and sound.

That's quite a noble sentiment. I wouldn't expect any less of you.

And you? No one was seriously hurt in the climactic battle?

This is the best Christmas gift we could ever give to the world... A brighter future. And we'll make sure that if Ameno-sagiri descends upon our world again, we'll defeat him, same as before.

Well, we're none the worse for wear, though there were a few close calls toward the end of that battle. But that's to be expected when you're fighting against a cosmic entity. Good thing we have Yukiko-senpai and Teddie to offer magical healing!

Magical healing is always helpful. I'm just happy you're all right and that your world is safe.

So am I! I can't wait to celebrate Christmas with everyone! And that includes Fluffy and the kittens.

...it's a bit sad that Adachi-san won't be able to celebrate with everyone. To think, if we had never identified him as the true culprit, Dojima-san and Nanako-chan probably would be celebrating with him this year...

I don't believe that I would describe that as sad. For one thing, I doubt he has much to celebrate.

As much as I hate what Adachi-san did... I can't help but pity him. It appears that his actions were, in part, influenced by the entity known as Ameno-sagiri. The Lord of Fog fed on the overwhelming despair within Adachi-san's heart and thus granted him the power to release the fog into our world in an attempt to fulfill mankind's desire to hide their flaws and weakness from others... and themselves.

But that doesn't excuse what Adachi-san did to those two women. Even so... I wonder what sort of events drove him to become such a bitter and despairing individual... the perfect pawn for the Lord of Fog's schemes...

You could ask him, if he were willing to talk about such things.

I plan on it. Once he's regained his strength, I'm going to make sure that I'm present for the police questioning. Considering my involvement in the case thus far, I think they owe me one.

Ah, that's right. I'd almost forgotten that you were removed from the task force. In the end, you and your team were the ones who solved the case, so they should be grateful.

The only problem is... how are we ever going to explain all of this to the police? No one would believe in the existence of Shadows and Personas... even Dojima-san has a hard time believing in them, and he's seen evidence of their existence firsthand!

I suppose this case is going to hinge on whether Adachi-san confesses to his crimes or not... There's no doubt that with all the circumstantial evidence we've gathered, there will be a shadow of doubt cast over his character.

I once thought that normal people shouldn't be involved in things beyond their ken. I still believe that - it's normal people that I no longer believe in. If it were me, I would be honest... but I have no reputation to risk.

Despite wielding this power... I still think of myself as "normal," in a sense.

It's hard to say what Adachi-san will do at this point. Since beating him in battle, he has become listless and apathetic. He would have gladly allowed the Shadows to devour him, had we left him in that world. It's hard to say whether he feels any remorse for his crimes, but it's apparent that Adachi-san is going to accept his punishment, whatever that may be.
