[RL Open to close friends of Naoto | School Rooftop]
Naoto decided to hide out on the school rooftop after that last prank Kaito pulled. She was wearing the boy's gym uniform--powder blue sweatpants and zippered jacket--while her clothes were being laundered. In her hands she held her cabbie hat, still wet, but no longer dyed festive colors. She wouldn't allow anyone to touch that hat, which belonged to her father. Besides, it had to be hand washed. Hopefully, the sun would help dry it out. Wool didn't work well in the dryer...
It was bad enough that her clothes were soiled, but the fact that she let Kuroba escape yet again... That was just icing on the cake! Humiliated in front of everyone as she dragged a dummy to detention...
She was a failure, wasn't she? If she couldn't even apprehend an ordinary high school student, then what hope did she have of apprehending the infamous phantom thief, Kaitou Kid?
Despite the cool and collected facade she worked so hard to present to others, underneath it all, she was just barely able to keep everything together. But not anymore. It was too much now. The facade was crumbling now. She sat with her back against the wall and sobbed. No one ever came up here anyway... She could cry in peace without anyone disturbing her, or so she thought...
