[A series of separate journal entries would have been posted over the course of several days; Edward will have a somewhat sporadic response time for them, too. He might respond for a few hours and then not until the day following the entry ICly anyway-- I'll be tagging it normally 8|, since the cryptic commentary in each day's entry hints at how he ( Read more... )

[Edward's walking along the shore with his hands in his pockets, head down, very much lost in thought. He isn't paying much attention to his surroundings, so he doesn't notice Minato until he's almost at the rock, which is when he hears the music. ...Where is that even coming from? He doesn't see a radio anywhere...

Peering around curiously now. Is it hidden somewhere? And why is it so quiet, in that case? ...Is this guy even paying attention?]

[Upon getting closer, Edward notices the guy wearing headphones, which are familiar enough. But it still doesn't explain where the music is even coming from- the wire just seems to disappear. Even Fuery doesn't have radios that small. He's not much for machinery, but it's kind of an interesting factoid he could share with the sergeant later.

Thus, clearing his throat now.]

[Edward's gaze shifts to Minato's hand, where the wire is connected to the little box. It's like the size of his hand. What the hell.]

...Is that your radio?

[Edward shakes his head, still not really any closer to the answer, apparently.]

Just radios.

[And they're big. Like boombox sized. No handhelds!]

Recorded? You can do that? [That would be a pretty convenient thing for the military. Broadcasts are one thing, but people aren't always conveniently listening to the radio.]

How? [Sorry Minato, you got stuck with a researcher.]

[.....Yeah that makes no sense to him.] Is it some kind of mechanical thing?
