[A series of separate journal entries would have been posted over the course of several days; Edward will have a somewhat sporadic response time for them, too. He might respond for a few hours and then not until the day following the entry ICly anyway-- I'll be tagging it normally 8|, since the cryptic commentary in each day's entry hints at how he ( Read more... )

You don't miss having Roy around? I'm shocked to read it.

[ He'll just touch on that... admirable month-long goal some other time. ]

Are you making fun of me?

[It's not exactly a surprise that he's happier without Roy bothering him, after all.]

Not at all. [ Yes, completely. ] That would just be mean-spirited, wouldn't it?

[ hah, more like he's being hilarious-spirited. and you just happen to be the first grumpy state alchemist to turn up to be made fun of in a while. ]

[Oh Hughes. Why such a troll. Edward can't snip at him too much, though, he's still dealing with the whole "dead people are alive" issue. Little more time, just a little...]

...Well I don't miss him. He'd just cause trouble if he was here.

[ Trouble?

Trouble... hitting on the women, threatening to blow up some of the men, no Lieutenant around to keep him in line, possibly bored out of his mind by the lack of a country to work his way up through, but ecstatic about the lack of paperwork... ]

[ L O L . ]

He might, at that! It could even put a damper on any trouble you might wind up getting into! [ but you know, not Hughes because he is keeping his nose clean like a boss these days or something. ]

I'm not going to get into trouble here! [Not intentionally. ....Look it just follows him okay 8|]

Of course not, of course not. That's what the "might" was for. [ Poor little trouble magnet. ]

[And he tries so hard, too.]

...Anyway, he has too much to do in Amestris, right? Better that he does his damage there.

I'll give you that much. [ His bro is so on the way to being fuhrer, it's ridiculous. ]

Yeah. [Though... to be honest, he'd be a lot happier if he knew what in the world was going on. He's been out of touch with Mustang's group for a while now. ...Actually-] I guess it would be useful if he could at least tell me what's going on in Central. I haven't been there for months.

Oh? [ And yet, not too surprising. ] That is a pity. Roy's always very well-informed about the goings-on over there.

[ He's positive the man had more connections than just one guy in Investigations, after all. ]

We were going back for the Promised Day. I'm sure he's been plotting something, he probably knew about it before the rest of us, knowing him.

[Stupid Colonel, he could have at least mentioned- ...er, well even if Ed's been missing for a while, at least to the Briggs soldiers!]

It wouldn't surprise me. He's probably got something very elaborate set up, with a safety net on reserve.

[ OR WELL, THE LIEUTENANT HAS THE SAFETY NET. Roy is delightfully. Hard-headed. ]

Knowing him, he knows exactly how to handle what's going to happen. [Whether or not this is a good thing, considering his track record... well, Edward might be a little unsure of where he fits in. It's frustrating to have been so out of contact with everyone, not that he'd been able to help it.]

It's not like anyone likes getting caught unprepared. [ Have a little faith, Ed. Maybe you're, like, the entire plan. ]
