Name: Colin Wilkes
Aliases: Abuse, Haq the Truthful
Age: 17
Universe: The 99 (with a side order of the DCU)
Fluent In: English, Spanish, Arabic (and bits and pieces of Latin)
Catchphrase: "The truth will set you free."
Powers/Abilities:
# Living Lie Detector: Colin can automatically detect a lie, no matter how small or great. (This is sadly a power that can never be turned off either, no matter the circumstance, so he's probably not the best person for undercover ops.)
# Chains of Truth: In extension with this power, Colin's primary weapon are chains built from the truth. The more truthful his enemy is, the less power Colin has over him... and vice-versa.
# Limited Flight: Colin can glide and twirl above the air for a limited amount of time, but he can't fly like the Supers.
# Martial Arts: Knows a decent amount of fighting skills from the 99 and Robin. Like the rest of the 99, Colin refuses to use manmade weapons - and instead uses his fist, his feet, and chains created from the truth. (It makes sense in context.)
(These powers were granted to him by a Noor Stone embedded all along the side of his left arm, which accordingly sparkles light blue/teal if he's not wearing short sleeves that day.)
Important Notes:
+ Became Haq the Truthful at 13, after an explosion embedded his body with shards of the Noor Stone. The 99 was able to fix him, but at a price: Colin would have to exchange the venom in his body for these shards. (The venom and the shards, combined, were killing him--- and it was simply easier to find an antidote for the venom.) Colin agreed.
+ Now travels the world as a member of the 99. His home is Seville, Spain, but he visits Gotham all the time because of a certain Boy Wonder.
+ Still carries his bear Rory around in the form of a cell phone keychain. Will vehemently deny it every moment he gets.
+ Listing the members of the 99 would get extensive, tedious, and exhaustive... so just settle for "Colin gained a ridiculously large family when he joined the 99." He's unofficially adopted by them - and he's unofficially taken them as his brothers and sisters, even if he gets into fights with Toro a lot.
+ Has dated girls in the past (teammate Eden Halphen | Sabura the Timeless comes to mind), but he has a huge crush on Samda the Invulnerable. As to whether or not she's aware of it is heavily, heavily up for debate.
