Hookey sounds like an Olympic sport
Playing hookey from work again today. Once again, can't brag about it on Facebook since one of my managers is a Facebook friend.
The company says that employees are only allowed two "attendence issues" per month. I interpret that to mean I can play fake sick no more than two days a month. It's a new month, so I'm in the clear.
Technically, it would make more sense to play hookey on Monday since my rewrite of my first chapter of my thesis is due Tuesday and the school library is closed all weekend. But I woke up this morning with a severe dread of going to work, and felt that it would be better for my mental health to take today off. Besides, there's some work I can do with my thesis without the library.
I'll be calmer once I get over the initial guilt feeling of lying to my boss.
