"KVH Ambulance, KVh Ambulance, respond to Bickleton, 500 E. Market Street. We have a seventeen-year-old male, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head . . . KVH Ambulance, respond to 500 E. Market Street. We have a senteen-year-old male, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. 10-4."
Those are the words that came over the scanner, to my dad's ears today, as he was dispatched to Bickleton, for a junior in my high school who had killed himself this morning. I couldn't believe it . . . I knew this guy. He was quiet, sure . . . but killing himself? Oh God . . .
I hate feeling so helpless . . . everything's all screwed up . . . what do I do?
