First Day
So, today was my first day at the new job and it was phenomenal!
Looks like this will be a lot of fun. I may be carving pumpkins there the last weekend this month. And I think there will be lots of opportunities for me to be creative and think of stuff to do with the kids. And the teen volunteers are mostly really cool and my boss is wonderful and and and...*breath.* Yeah, I'm a little excited.
Plus, there's a thing this Friday there called ZooFari. http://phoenixzoo.org/zoo/events/zoofari.asp (and apparently I can't use rich text today) Technically you can't get in if you're under twenty-one, but I may be able to subvert that and the $75 (for employees, $200/$175 for public/members) ticket fee by spending four hours volunteering to put up decorations. How exciting would that be? The Gin Blossoms will be playing as well as Zowie Bowie, a local dance band. So, I might get to dance! I'm so excited. I will have been working there exactly a week and I'd get into a black tie event free. /sigh. Hope it works out.
