She wants to tell Remy the truth.
'Jubilee's pregnant.'
All of it, not just the half-truths she's had to give him to keep the girl he loves like a younger sister's secret a secret.
"A friend had a scare and she didn't want to do it alone so I told her she could it here."
"She was really scared and she didn't have anywhere else she was comfortable going, so..."
She shouldn't.
(But she hates keeping it from him.)
She won't.
(But she wants to.)
She can't.
(But she wishes she could.)
She promised Jubilee she wouldn't and she won't break that promise, won't betray the younger girl's trust after it took her so long to earn it; it's not her place to tell.
But she won't lie to him, either. She never has.
(Half-truths aren't lies.)
It's the only thing she can be proud of in the position she's put herself in and Aryn wonders if it'll be enough when Jubilee finally does tell him. When Remy finds out that she knew and kept it from him. She won't break the trust Jubilee's placed in her, but she can't break Remy's either. She'll have to cross that bridge when she gets to it and hope that Remy will be waiting for her on the other side.
(And not standing on the bank behind her, watching it burn.)
