The gravity increased as my capacity diminished.
Then the moment came, this instant when I realize I’m holding without any reserve and everything I am or thought I was capable of, will prove insufficient to win through.
So the choice was put before me.
It was one of those most rare events in this life, completely without nuance or compromise. One where an all or nothing decision is not only present, but demanded.
This or that? Black or White? In or out? Which will it be, choose now!
1. Hold on, continue to cultivate the appearance of happiness and normalcy, and be devoured from within.
2. Let go while we both have our lives ahead of us, even if they are separate.
So I let go.
“The critical moment of any battle, is that second after the reserves have been deployed. Victory or defeat is merely recognizing what has already happened”
-Karl von Klausewitz
