[ Shirley's sitting up in bed in the clinic, stretching and yawning a little. She's still a little sick, but for the most part, she looks well, finding the need to pull her long blonde hair into a ponytail, so it wouldn't bother her. Then she picks up her journal on the nightstand. ]

[It ... takes longer than one might expect for Walter to make it back to the clinic. But when he does arrive, he's carrying a relatively big, covered basket. He looks uncomfortable.]

Better! [ she sits up in her bed, placing her hands on her lap with a smile. When her eyes open, she spots the basket and watches it curiously. ] ..?

[He briefly breaks out of that uncomfortable expression.] ...I'm relieved. You were asleep a long time.

[But the look is back quickly.] I, ah, wasn't sure if you would want anything. [He sets the basket down on the bed and uncovers it, revealing two familiar bunnies that are holding ... flowers?] They thought otherwise.

Really..? [ she stretches a bit, rubbing her eye. ] That would..explain why I feel so stiff..

[ she watches the basket. When bunnies pop out, she gasps a bit, staring at them curiously as they offered her the flowers. She couldn't help but smile sweetly, taking the flowers from them gently and bringing them together. ] They're..beautiful! I love them..thank you very much! [ bunnies get petting. :"> Then she looks at Walter, a bigger smile on her face. She looked very..happy. ]

Thank you! Really..I feel much better, already! [ there was still a small fever, but hdsjkfkjabsdfwe b-bunnies, flowers, and an adorable awkward Wally to play with? *A* IT WAS LIKE THE CLINIC JUST TURNED INTO A HAPPY HAVEN ]

[He's just kinda ... standing there with a completely awkward expression. It wasn't his idea to do this, after all. ...But it made the Merines so happy.]

T-- they harassed me into coming for a visit. It was entirely their idea.

p her eyes light up again at the flowers and she smells them happily, looking at the rabbits. ] This is really too thoughtful of you..thank you for thinking of me! [ at Walter's words, she looks over at him. ]

..okay. [ she just smiles, having the strangest and oddest feeling that Walter was somewhere in this great ploy to sneak bunnies into the clinic and bring her flowers. ] If you say so! [ she looks at the flowers again. There were very few occasions on which Shirley received flowers. ]

[He looks relieved as he's let off the hook, letting his muscles relax slightly as he just stands there watching Shirley with the bunnies and flowers.

...When he realizes he's staring, he shifts and politely looks away.]

I am! [ she had a glass of water resting on her nightstand, and she gently places the small bouquet inside, looking at them adoringly. ]

[ after they're put down, she pulls the bed spread off- she was wearing long, dark blue pajammas, with a top that was the same color. When she gets out of the bed, she's a little embarrassed, but the urge to move around compelled her to stretch a bit and move her legs around. 'A' it felt good.. Dx ]

It's not very healthy to stay in bed all day, anyway. [It's a very, very weak attempt at a joke; he's not much for them, and he isn't exposed to many of the people. ...Which would explain why he gets so annoyed at jokers.]

[ she smiles at his words, though not very funny, there as good intentions behind them. ]

I'm alright. Just- [ she takes a step forward and her legs stiffen up, her arm reaching out and grabbing the nearest thing- which just so happened to be Walter, and she held onto his arm while her legs tried to move again. hasdkfhkwe l-long sleep ]
