I've eaten a lot of cheese this weekend. But it was yummy and I don't care. Wenslydale (?) with cranberries - quite a revelation. So, on Saturday we went wine tasting at Vinopolis. It was good. We learnt how to gargle and use all of our tongue to taste. Although I did find myself quite giddy after 5 tastings but the absynth helped with that. We discovered some tasty wines (The Lady did it properly and took notes) and some not so tasty wines. Jess gamely tried a Chinese rose, that didn't make it on to her shortlist. I believe the description mentioned something about pencil shavings which should possibly have been a clue. On our way there we walked through a brilliant market. I think Borough Market? I definately have to go back at some point. Mmm.. olives, cheese, cakes OH and the Chocolate Brownie Mountain. On one stall a guy was selling brownies and he had them displayed in a huge mountain. It smelt so good. I was bought a brownie and it was yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum. Heh, we got free gifts at the end of the wine tasting, including a tent of a t-shirt. I know it was a One-Size, but this was monsterous! We both fitted in. Y'know, which is lucky because we only got one. Then we came back here and bought lots of cheese and watched Angel until the heady hour of 11. Oh yes, we watched the Smile Time episode this morning, which did make me chuckle.
Now i'm watching season two Lost, i'm up to 12 so far. The river that surrounds my halls building (we're on a sort of island) is about ready to burst it's banks. I've just looked at the forecast which says it's going to rain heavily and persistantly all week. Maybe we'll have to be rescued! Now that would be exciting.
I just turned down rhubard crumble on the pretext that I don't like rhubarb. I said it decisively so I guess it must be true. I just can't remember having ever tried it. Ah well.
