Crazy Theory Time!

I'm actually posting a crazy theory for once! Unusual for me, but I really can't help but notice something, something to do with Rory....

Spoilers for 'A Good Man Goes To War'

If we're assuming that the Silence are the ones who ultimately want Melody, to use her to kill the Doctor, then what was their reasoning for destroying the TARDIS and creating the cracks in the universe? Wild theory time here, but I think it was to force the Doctor to create the Big Bang 2. Why though? Why reboot the universe? What happened?

Simple answer? Rory died.

Then the cracks in the universe erased him from existance.

Doesn't make sense does it? However, if Rory was going to die in that old universe, had the cracks not been there, Melody would never have been born. Remember, she was concieved on Amy and Rory's wedding night.

So, did the Silence destroy the TARDIS to create the cracks in the universe in order to get the TARDIS to take the Doctor to meet Amelia and Rory and then give him a reason to reboot the universe, solve the problem of Rory dying and hence they get their part Time Lord weapon?

Also, add in that Rory now keeps almost dying, it seems to me like the old universe and the rebooted one is fighting over Rory's fate, because technically he should be dead, but he's not in the rebooted universe. We've had talk to alternate dimensions, in Curse of the Black Spot, is that what's happening here? Has rebooting the universe created two timestreams that are in constant flux where Rory's concerned, because he died and then was rebooted back to life? Like Jack Harkness, he's become an impossibility - he's alive when he should be dead. If this is the case, what's going to happen in the autumn segment? Are both universes unravelling because of him? If so, are we going to see Rory making a big sacrifice to save the universes?

OH GOD, I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE AUTUMN!!! I'M GOING INTO HIBERNATION RIGHT NOW DAMNIT!!!!

doctor who, rory, crazy theory
