Just sent in my UC applications. Scary stuff.
Thanksgiving. A time to be thankful. I was thankful my mom didn't declare full out war on my aunt and grandmother. The first stop of the day was a bit intense. You could tell who disliked who on this side of the family. For the most part I played with my baby cousin Julia once she started to get comfortable with me and talked with my uncles. Then we went to the park for a bit to walk off lunch and feed the ducks with the baby.
Next stop was my dad's relatives for dinner. Talked with my uncle about how his band got some record deal and my cousin Jordan about school. My great uncle read my college essays since he was the vice principle of some university. That made me feel a lot better about them. Then it was just catching up with my grandparents and other relatives. Thanksgiving has toned down at that house since I was little. It used to be that everyone showed up.
Very satisfying holiday.
