Happy Fourth of July, everybody!! Man, I love summer!! Let's see, after we left Naples on the 23rd, we drove up to Tallahassee and on the way, we stopped at the University of Florida campus. It was really nice but kind of scrunched up. Anyway, we arrived in Tally at a decent hour and went to dinner and got yogurt(TCBY ROCKS) with my sister. The next day, we got up(me, my mom, my sister, and her husband, Jimmy) and drove to Valdosta, Georgia and Wild Adventures(if you've driven north on 75 then you've seen the signs). It was really cool but it rained on and off all day. There were alot of really cool coasters, though, and it turned out to be a really good day. The next day, we went north to Havana and I was forced to go through the torture that is.........ANTIQUE SHOPPING!!
Actually, it wasn't that bad and we only spent half the day there so we could make it back to the movies. We saw Batman Begins(my mom and I had seen it but my sister hadn't) and then we went and had dinner at this awesome mexican restaurant called "Los Compadres". It was good. The next day(Monday), Kelly showed me around the FSU campus. We went to the bookstore and we walked through the main courtyard and freshman dorms. Later, we went back to the movies and saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith (again because my sis hadn't seen it) and then went and had dinner at Bennigan's (where again, my mom embarassed me with them singing "Happy Birthday") Well, the next day we said goodbye to Kelly and Jimmy and headed north. We thought it was going to be a short trip because we were just going to Tennessee by going through Georgia. Ha!!!! Georgia is so long!!!! We finally made it to Chattanooga, TN after about 11 hours of driving (which I helped out with, by the way). Well, the next day we weren't sure what we were going to do but we decided to try the Incline Railway. It is this cool sideways railcar that takes you up the side of Lookout Mountain(the mountain to the west of the Chattanooga Valley) Anyway, we were going to the TN Aquarium until we saw this cool deal for three attractions on the mountain: the Incline Railway, Ruby Falls(an awesome underground waterfall), and Rock City Gardens. Well that took up pretty much the whole day. However, seeing as it actually was my birthDAY, we went to Outback for dinner and then we went and saw War of the Worlds. That movie is really cool and I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. Well, the next day, we left Chattanooga and headed home. After driving all day we finally made it back to Fredericksburg at about 11. Well, the next day, I slept in, of course, and that night I had another party with an oreo blizzard cake that we ordered form Dairy Queen. Man, was it good. This weekend pretty much went by without anyhing interesting. Sunday we went to the Spotsylvania Stars and Stripes Spectacular at the courthouse. There was pretty much nothing to do except walk around and eat, so we left. Better luck next year. We had a cookout and did half of our fireworks supply. Then today, I woke up and I went with my dad to breakfast because he was looking for an excuse to get his Corvette out of the garage. After a good meal, we came back and then me, my mom, and my dad washed all of our cars. Later, I really felt like going for a run and trying out my NEW iPOD!!!!!!! It is so awesome. Its only a mini but I already have over 100 songs and they are all things that I like to listen to! Well, we had another cookout(this time with steaks) and then we went down to the Spotsylvania Mall for their big fireworks spectacular. Then we came home, finished up our fireworks and then I came up here to write this. I know it's alot but that is the update on all the events since I left Naples. This summer is going great and I a enjoying every minute of it. I hope everything is going just as great with you all. Later.
