Part 3: The Concert
There really isn't much to say about the concert, except that I am so thankful for the awesome group of girls I went to watch BSB with. *waves at them* Amongst them was my ex-elementary school classmate (the one that corrupted me with Nick Carter when we were 11), M (the one that gave me her m&g pass last September), and a whole bunch of awesome SG girls that I had only just met. It's amazing how quickly you can bond with people once you start talking Backstreet.
Anyhoo. Front row. Whoo! We made signs, of course, and we had banners, and pretty sure the Boys remembered us from soundcheck so we got lots of love through the night. They sounded amazing and looked like they were having the time of their life on stage. Lots of joking around and smacking of asses (mostly Brian), and dear lord speaking of Brian, talk about a mega-watt smile. His smile could light up the whole of Vegas, IT'S SUCH A THING OF BEAUTY.
AJ gave me the least love and I am very sadfaced about it :(, but the others more than made up for it. I actually managed to get eye contact with the elusive Carter, and possibly a wave but I don't remember. :D Howie's wink was OUT OF CONTROL, and I got a couple of them plus a few waves.
Brian. Oh Brian. He waved so much at me and was SUCH a delight. But the highlight was definitely during As Long As You Love Me, when I suddenly went INSANE and made the "You, look at me now" gesture with two fingers. He caught my eye right before I did it, watched me with a confused expression, AND THEN HE DID THEM RIGHT BACK AT ME. I HAD HIS ATTENTION FOR AT LEAST FIFTEEN SECONDS. No, I was not hallucinating, he definitely saw me doing something and I DEFINITELY had eye contact and he totally copied me!
I managed to find it on youtube. \o/ It's just around the 3:05, when he sings "when you look into my eyes" (now you understand why I had to make eyes at him).
That loud scream you hear right after that? Yeah, that was me freaking out and turning 12 again. :D :D :D :D :D
Nick Carter, that cocky little shit, was so photogenic that a large number of my best pictures are of him in mid-song, looking all tall and gorgeous and blond and GUYS I THINK HE INFECTED ME WITH SOMETHING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT NOW I CAN'T STOP STARING AT HIM.
AJ did sit down on the stage right in front of me for a whole verse, but I can't remember which one. It is highly possible that I blacked out when he was right in front of me, but in any case I still managed to take pictures.
