At noon today, one of the contractors working at a construction site near my dorm fractured our water mains. And it's not the first time it's happened either. The same thing happened about six months ago, but of course I wasn't living here then.
I have been without water for seven and a half hours now. What really irks me though, is that they only managed to get the water people down a full five hours after the pipe burst. Apparently they're still working on it, but dude. Why they only came after the sun set is beyond me.
First the stove this week (it got repaired but is now working at half-capacity), and now the water. I am paying WAY too much for accommodation.
ETA: Fuck this. I'm not waiting around for them to get it fixed. I'm going off to get bottled water from the campus supermarket before it closes.
