My Soundtrack for Life
Music is the most powerful instrument for feeling. Every joy, pain, experience can be marked with music. A day takes a turn for the worst, and it can be reflected by a turning point in a song. A song causes one to feel alive, and one's day is elated. What is important for me though, is that music reminds me of people. Everyone I know has a song that reminds me of them. The way people move, act, communicate makes me reminisant for a certain melody. Sadly, these songs sometimes may not be a true reflection of one's inner self, but oh well, music is music. Everytime I hear Mae's "This is the Countdown" it brings back memories of desire, passion for someone I now know. Jack's Mannequin "La La Lie"; Cartel "If I Fail"; Underoath "I'm Content with Losing"; The Rocket Summer "Around the Clock"; Tom Snare "Philosophy"; Rooney "Blue Side"; The Fray "How to Save a Life"; The Early November "I Want to Hear You Sad"; The Afters "Beautiful Love" These songs remind me of you out there. I now have another person I associate with a certain song, Senses Fail "Buried a Lie". As the song passes you begin to realize Buddy is singing about someone, a death, what is more passionate than that? Music is my passion.
