Witticism: - \Wit"ti*cism\, n. [From Witty] A witty saying; a sentence or phrase which is affectedly witty; an attempt at wit; a conceit.
My top three Witticisms of all time:
(I'll start from the third best to the 1st)
3. Late Night with David Letterman
David was interviewing a female news correspondent and she was talking about eating forgien foods, she asked Dave if he had ever had the hump of a camel?
Dave quickly shot back, "I've never had the hump of a camel, but when I was 21 I wasn't bad."
2. The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson
(Now Carson or Gabore have never admitted to saying this, but I've seen tapes of it)
Zza Gabore was on the Carson show and she had her cat sitting on her lap during the interview, and she asked Johnny if he wanted to pet her pussy. Johnny said,"I'd love to if you move that damn cat"
1. You Bet your Life - Groucho Marx
Groucho had this women on the show and was interviewing her, asking her the regular questions. Groucho, "so madame please tell us a little bit about yourself"
Woman, "Well Groucho I've been married for 12 years, and I have 12 children, and ..." Groucho cut her off and said,"Did you say that you have been married for 12 years and you have 12 kids?"
Woman, "Yes Groucho that's correct."
Groucho, "Madame, I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth every once in a while."
