I Voted! Kinda... Sorta... I Think...

I just got back from early voting. Wow! Democracy in action! It only took me two hours.

YEP, TWO FUCKING HOURS! In a cramped library, with cranky babies and a lot of B.O. Now I know what voting in Afghanistan must be like.

You were voting in the 'hood. Of course there were a lot of Kerry supporters.

Not like the 'Stan, 'cause nobody had to check their firearms at the door.

This voting system is what they, in the Army, call a Cluster Fuck. A big, fat Charley Foxtrot.

Oh we are so fucked it ain't even funny. I actually think that nov. 2nd may run smoother, because your polling place won't have a laptop. It will have a book... books don't crash.

Hell yeah the hood's got Kerry supporters. And all those muthafuckers are voting early! You got them streaming in! It's a beautiful thing! Honestly, it was a pretty interesting cross section of society and I saw everything from "Women for Kerry" to "Machinists for Kerry" to "Veterans for Kerry" I myself snagged a "I voted early for Kerry Edwards" button! Score!

I can still smell the BO, not a good situation. Oh yeah, don't forget the poor 'ole bastard that so profoundly said "i've got more medals than Kerry"..I think that was the end of Truffles conversation with him.

*pulls hair out*

*Hey, you don't have any hair.*

No, the other hair.

I dunno, no real reason to get there before 7:15, I don't think. 7:15, 7:30?

I'm kinda conflicted about whether I should go early or not. What do you think, given the options? I'm thinking me and L. should maybe go on Saturday, you know?

The thing is... it's the laptops that caused the problem, you wont' have that problem on Tuesday.

But if there is a problem on Tuesday, it's not like you get a make up day...

I've tripple checked my registration, and I will not be denied my right to vote. So Tuesday it is. They were all awfully nice on primaries day anyway.

The laptops were *also* clusterfucking when *I* went last week. The woman had to re-load like three times before she could pull me up; I stood there for five minutes.

I don't trust the electronic machines. I'm outraged that there's no paper trail. It makes me want to vomit.
