Ever since our first mistake
The reminders grow
Stop doing what you do
Our love you have to pursue
The occasional falls
What a trouble they say
Time lost to pick you up
Crying
What a nag
Be like that child over there
Obediently eating his porridge
Then adolescence enters:
Follow the rules,
Meant to keep you safe
Resist your feelings
Keep the rules
If your thoughts were not as pure as St. Paul
the altar is your weeping place
God in His fiery anger visits
If your anger burst out
your name in heavens book loses its ink
Even angels can't keep you there
Romans they never read
For the acceptable faith is one-
Our eyes lifted from ourselves-
To the Christ
Made sin for us
And now counted as us
Our righteousness He stands
Forever our righteouness stands
The rules He kept perfectly
His feelings the ultimate potrait of beauty
Manhood he embodies in eternal glory
This freedom,
take and live,
no charge shall be brought
You are free
