Official List of Liz's Desired Paths in Life, All Obviously Mutually Exclusive:
Life #1: Dump Rob, drop out of college, move to Crown Heights, NYC. Marry a sexy, intelligent, ultra-orthodox Lubavitch guy and be a stay-at-home mother with five home-schooled kids. Go to mikvah, keep kosher, help the Messiah come --- basically drop out of life in the 21st century! Write a novel.
Life #2: Join the army reserves while still going to college, get trained as an intelligence officer, probably get deployed to the sandbox and help kill as many Muslims as possible. Join the FBI when my six years in the reserves/masters degree are over with. Write a novel.
Life #3 Join AFROTC next year, graduate as an officer in the Air Force specializing in intelligence, marry Rob, commision for a few years while we both move around base to base, kids along the way, apply to be an FBI Special Agent, and we both live in Washington or Texas. (WUHOO TEXAS! I GET TO CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON!). Write a novel.
Life #4: No army, no airforce. Transfer to University of Chicago for my last two years, then straight on to grad school while he shuttles around various bases, us hardly seeing each other except to procreate. Write a novel.
Life #5 Same as #4, but without Rob. Marry an observant Jewish psychoanalyst instead. Two kids and a white picket fence and suburban bliss with a two-psychoanalyst household! Write a novel.
