3 More Days Til Another Year Passes...
So it's 3 days til the beginning of my 33rd year on this planet and I still don't have it all figured out LOL As of now, we're staying in for New Years, and maybe see if a few people want to come over for drinks and some card playing. Everyone agrees that we're too old to deal with the Ametures (you know, the people that hardly ever drink, then do it in excess because it's a holiday LOL).
Every year I've made "resolutions" although I've come to the conclusion they are useless. You stick with it for a whole week or two and go right on back to old habits! That being said, I know that for 2008 I'd like to find a low stress, part-time job. The first week of February marks one year since I was laid off. Of course it's fun hanging around the house playing games and generally BSing around, and nice that I can avoid the winter weather for the most part, but it does get monotonous. The extra money is always nice, too :)
I'd like to invest in a better vehicle for Brian, too. We paid a whole $500 for his '94 Ranger we bought off his friend, and it's been running well for us for over a year now! But, it does have a LOUD exhaust, and I know it's just a matter of time before we start getting "nickel and dime"'d as things start to go wrong with it. It's inevitable, the winter weather and road salt destroy vehicles up here!
