We used to cruise the classic car shows, and man did I want one, but there are a couple of big problems with a 5' tall, 110lb chic driving a true classic muscle car-
1. The driver's seating was not made to accomodate a smaller statured driver- The seats were usually deep bucket seats, not lending enough lift to really get a good view over the dash, as well as the fact that they do not go far enough forward to reach the pedals or to comfortably operate the shifter.
2. No power steering- When you've got over 300 horse power under the hood, there is no room for under and over steering, something I'd consistantly be doing in a car with no power assisted steering. Just not strong enough to crank that wheel!
While most of the cars on display in that article are $100k, there is a RetroMod 1969 Stang Convertable selling for $25k. Man I can't wait to graduate college, maybe then I can afford something like this! The newer sports cars just don't have that styling.
