Happy 2005!
First I want to thank rhesusmonkey for the lovely candle! I got it today! Brittney says she likes it too :)
I hope the rest of 2005 is better than the beginning of it. What started out as a great weekend ended up horribly. Let's just say I had someone wanting to practically marry me after 3 dates. OH HELL NO. Nice guy, not right for me, but that's just... creepy... I did learn a few things from it though, which maybe in the grand scheme of things was the whole point of it all. One good thing= I did get to see Phantom of the Opera last night, it was EXCELLENT!
Debbie's party was fun. Played some poker, talked... It was a nice evening with great friends and good food. Brittney had a nice time up north with my parents, so we both had a good eve. She banged the pots and pans at midnight up there ;)
So for 2005, I plan to quit smoking for good this time, and I am going to ask my mom to come over here and help me clean this dump. It is not going to make a good impression on the type of person I want to attract and that IS right for me. It's gonna be hard, but I have to change my bad habits. You cannot expect someone with an immaculately furnished home to want to bring a slob around!!! My house is pretty darn nice as well, I should want to take better care of it!
I think I have changed somewhat in 2004, but for the better. I have more confidence now that I have a sort of real career as opposed to some job. I have supported myself without child support, which for me, is very empowering. I don't NEED anyone, I can do this on my own. It is hard sometimes, but I do what I have to, and NOONE is getting the better of me anymore.
Well I have to work in the morning, so much for my long weekend, it flies by in the blink of an eye... Hope you all had a wonderful New Year!!!
