[A husky laugh-- or that could've been a growl for all you know. Could just be distance or a damaged mouthpiece, but the device still manages to pick up sound. He sounds... fatigued? Detached?]

I despise this weather.

[The last is audible to those who listen very, very closely. It's easy to miss it.]

This leisure is suffocating.

[Transmission starts up, but there's only silence on his end, which lasts several long, drawn out moments.

When he does finally speak, Zero almost sounds bored as well.]

It won't last very long.

I doubt that any neat categorization like that exists here. I'll merely be glad when the snow is gone.

It's preferable to chaos, though it just as easily breeds malcontent.

And I'm sure if/when that happens it wouldn't be so soon after all that recently went down.

[Musingly]

It would be wise to start paying attention, despite having little interest in Nuadoria's politics.

Interest wouldn't matter. Everyone here wants to get back home. Paying attention when the topic arises is the least we can do.

[A thoughtful silence. Kaname speaks slowly, as though preoccupied]

Is that so.

[While Zero sounds more so listless.]

Maybe for me. I don't care what you decide to do.

I only ever do what's necessary, Kiryuu-kun. It's just a matter of waiting to find out what it is.

Of course you do, Kuran-senpai. Of course you do.

The lacking provisions, for instance, can rile one's instincts.

[Lightly. He does not speak out of the goodness of his heart.] Has it already been another month? How do you manage it, Kiryuu?
