[QM] #63 - Ever hear of the word humility

Humility, let me count the ways. Let's start with my first vampire dusting. Yeah, that was a good one. I had no clue what I was doing and I missed the heart completely. I was lucky my vampire slaying days wasn't a one shot wonder.

Next, let's move on to my first weapons training session with Merrick. I get these amazing skills as soon as I become a vampire slayer. Thing is, my body and mind kind of don't work together. My body knows what to do but my mind was OMG what am I doing?! I'm holding an axe, I could chop an arm off. I was covered in bruises the first time I worked with a quarter staff.

Then we have the Sunnydale years. Oh, I looked like I knew what I was doing but there were a few times when I almost had my ass handed to me. Buffy's death number one. If Xander hadn't been there it would have been the only death and way more than a minute. Then we have the trio. I mean I defeated a hell goddess, and I couldn't stop three dorks?

But, enough about slaying, let's move on to Buffy's embarrassment as just Buffy. Doublemeat Palace should have its own category. 'Nuff said about that. The soft serve ice cream machine in the quad. It wouldn't stop. Do I walk away and pretend it wasn't me? Nope, that would have been smart. Instead I stick my mouth underneath, grab a lot of bowls, and make a huge fool of myself in front of most of Sunnydale U students. Then there's the famous cave!Buffy incident. Okay, I had help with tainted beer on that one, but still definitely a humility lesson.

See? Humility and I go way back.
