Happy New Year
Well, a happy and prosperous New Year to everybody!!!!!!!! As for me, my New Year's Eve was well, ok. We did the Filipino traditions of attracting luck:
- put some money (coins AND paper) in pockets to shake them as soon as the ball drops
- put lots of food on the table to eat after midnight (especially lucky are round-shaped foods like fruits, cookies, meatballs, etc.)
- opens all cabinets, doors and windows a minute before the countdown to "let the luck in" (then we close them afterwards to keep the luck from escaping)
So, it was ok, I was stuffed and drank an entire bottle of Sparkling Cranberry in one night.
