I'm In My Feetie Jammies!
It's raining. I mean, absolutely pouring outside. (No snoring men, or bumped heads, but give me enough time I'm sure I'll stub my toe or something...) I love the sound. It's hitting the trees and the water in the canal and sounds like polite applause from appreciative Mother Nature.
-Dad came in and plopped a box of books on my bed. So I had to go through them & pick what I wanted to keep (and then put them away, naturally) and what to get rid of. Thanks, Dad. That was about half-and-hour ago.-
I just realized I haven't eaten anything since half a bowl of Golden Grahams at 10am (it's now 2pm). And I'm hypoglycemic. Brilliant move, Em. Really. So, mid-book-putting-away, I nearly faint when I stand up too fast and feel all nauseous and almost throw up. I'm on my knees in the kitchen looking in the pantry for something quick & not full of sugar to eat, which apparently means I want to play tug-of-war with this stuffed tailless opossum/rat thing with Pixie. Thanks, love. Now be a good girl and go get Mommy a bucket, mmKay? ugh. Anyway...
I just couldn't let such a gorgeous rain go undocumented.
And because you are such patient, lovely people, I'm going to post a few icons I've been working on. I'm trying the "popular" techniques, to see if I can do them. Some are okay. Others? meh Not so much. That's okay. We all have our strengths. I'm sure I'll find mine sometime. :)

phew! That was a lot more than I expected!! Seriously, I was thinking like 10 or so. There's 68 icons up there under that cut! I can't remember if I'd already posted the first of the Heroes text icons or not, but I thought I'd include it anyway. :P Hope y'all enjoy them!
Well, I've got a bad cold and I feel miserable, so I'm gonna go baby myself now. I'm hoping to have the 10x10 Challenge done by the end of next week, but you know how that goes. And I keep getting distracted by Heroes and Bionic Woman and this driving desire to learn how to make text icons that aren't crap. So, yeah, we'll see.
Tonight: Stargate: Atlantis & Numb3rs! I missed the last few weeks of Numb3rs, which saddens me, but I figure I'll catch up on reruns. And I fear the changes on SG:A in a bone-deep dread kind of way. Weir was fantastic last episode (!!), and I'm really not sure how Carter is gonna fit in with the Atlantis team (sexual tension between Rodney & Sam?? NONO! DO NOT WANT!! ugh Rodney's so grown past that early behavior & Samaholic-ness. Right? Also, John/Sam?? ACK!NOO!! Bad Ship!). I wish it was Daniel (or even Cameron! or, ya know, both) instead. And I hope *hopehopehope*Jack does cameos, cuz Stargate - O'Neill = :( But, yeah, there's my thoughts on that. *is a dork*
