Hey, I am proposing our little own Online "Reality Blog" in the same vein as American Idol where we eliminate all of metal's subgenre's down to a nice lean mean 15.

I went to WikiPedia and here: http://www.rock-forever.com/history/subgeneres.htm

I found every subgenre used. I am not even going to touch Last.FM because they're just making them up on the spot (even more so than WikiPedia). I propose this because its hard for people to take Heavy Metal seriously when you have 81 types, many of which aren't too different from the other. Each subgenre will be "ABSOLVED" or "ABSORBED" into another genre we would deem fit.

If you are interested in joining me, this will be how it goes (its a Work in Progress)

- First round would be like the audition round on these shows. We go through and quickly eliminate at least 20 (e.g. Funeral Doom & Sludge Doom would probably go just for how retarded they sound or how convoluted the concept is).
- Second Round would probably be more of that, only we take a more serious look
- The Finals

You can judge in one edition, or do part of the time.. whatever you would be willing to contribute would be great. I just need a reply saying "I'm interested." If not, that's cool. I think more judges would make this a lot more fun to read on WYLFWT. You don't HAVE to be a metalhead, but it helps.
