The Plass was busy today, it was the first sunny day they’d had in a long while and people where taking advantage and soaking up the rays.
Ianto shifted in his seat, rearranging the sling on his arm so it sat more comfortably.
“Is that coffee for me?”
Ianto looked up and smiled.
“Do you remember how you take it?”
“I’ll take it anyway you make it, Ianto Jones.”
Jack leaned down and kissed Ianto, the young man blushing furiously.
“So I hear it is, Captain Jack Harkness?”
“Yeah, retired though, had to focus on my scissor collection.”
Both men smiled at one another.
“So what now, Captain?”
“I don’t know. After all that’s happened, I know I don’t want to go back to my old life.”
“Come work for me then, Jack. We have so much work to do, we could use a pair of extra hands and.....and I wouldn’t object to having you around.”
Ianto held his breath, the offer on the table now and he couldn’t take it back, not that he wanted to.
“Sounds like it could be good for me...for us?”
“Us?.I like the sound of that, Jack.”
He leant forward and took the Captain’s hand, lifting it to his lips and brushing the back of his knuckles.
“Two halves of the same whole, who are we to argue fate?”
