And As The Dust Settles...

Okay, so last night I was angry and a little tipsy. The fact remains that M&M has not gone on for three weeks because not enough people can make it.

So this is what I propose. If the same thing happens next week, the point has become moot. So I'm planning a new game. Whether it comes to fruition or not depends on next weeks attendance. I've got three ideas.

Number one: Titled "The $ellouts." This world had a Golden Age and a Silver Age like any other universe, but when the Bronze Age rolled around, heroes got greedy. They started picking up sponsors, endorsing products, and otherwise being corporate whores. They were the new celebrities. They started banking on their image; selling soft drinks, making action figures of themselves, and so forth. They also stopped fighting crimes that wouldn't get them good enough press. This has continued into the modern day. But a new team (the PCs?), not wanting any of the glitz or glamour of modern "heroing," has shown up. And nothig will ever be the same...

Number Two: Entitled "Villains, Inc." This one is sort of in the same vein as Marvel's Thunderbolts and DC's Secret Six. A group of villains (the PCs) has been hired to work together for a major crime boss (Sphinx, Fat Man, whoever). That's really all I can say without delving into plot.

Number three, unfortunately, I can't tell you much of anything about. To tell you anything about the story would be giving major plot points away. I can tell you that it is a very basic superhero game. A big story, like this would be one of those summer blockbuster stories (kinda like Civil War or Infinite Crisis. That's no promise of quality, it's just in that same vein.)

And of course, all this planning may be for naught. I may have a record turnout next week. Everyone will come back, ready to get their hero on. I'll wrap up Spaz's arc, start Alicia's, and it will be like nothing ever happened (which is sort of the problem... but that's beside the point).

I dunno. Something tells me I'd better start looking for a new party.
