When you're soaring through the air, I'll be solid ground
I haven't been able to write anything sentimental like I used to about you. Because, what we have seems so different from those petty relationships that I'd write poetry about. What we have, what we share, what we feel.. can't be written down. I can try. I could try all day long and write beautiful stories and poems. But unlike things used to be, nothing would come close.
I'm in disbelief by all of this. I came into school unsure how things would turn out but of course, you haven't held me back, you've inspired me to go forward. You've given me stability in an everchanging world. You are exactly what I need for this place.
I know it's hard- believe me, I know. We both do. We talk about it all the time. But what makes the hard so worth it is getting nervous before I see you. Thinking about jumping on you and hugging you until you can't stop it. Making every phone call so important and worthwhile even if we talk about cereal. Saying the words I love you and truly meaning them. Not saying them to fill holes in the conversation but becuase we truly mean it.
I've heard from every person I've talked to here that it won't work. That we can't workand no one can. What do they know? They don't know us. They don't know how we are or what our love is like. Who are they to judge our relationship. I know I can't be too proud baby, but I want to be hope for those people. Those people who feel the same way we do. Feel that we can make it. I know we can.
My heart is so light. Because you've made it feel secure, important, lovely. You've done all of that to me.
Thank you dosen't come close. But, of course, it's all I can say.
Thank you for loving me when I needed it most. Thank you for being patient with my busy life. Thank you for understanding priorities and realizing that we both have lives to live. Thank you for being so amazing to those that I love. Thank you for saying the exact right thing at the exact right time. Thank you for being the boy that I LOVE to say is mine.
