Rafael Nadal vehemently denied Andy Murray's growing suspcisions that matchfixing was ever increasing in tennis.
Reports from Scottish youngster's sources say that Murray was repeatedly threatened by Nadal's men to keep his mouth shut on this topic, leading to the speculation that Nadal is currently involved in the match fixing
An unamed yet reliable source confirms, that this was Nadals only way of making sure he beat the current world champion Roger Federer on grass courts after having failed to do so on numerous occassions.
This comes in light of world number four Nikolay Davydenko being fined for apprantly not playing to the best of his ability. Davydenko won the first set of his defeat at the St Petersburg Open and thereafter lost the match 1-6 7-5 6-1, causing umpire Jean Philippe Dercq to warn him regarding his match conduct.
Davydenko has protested his innocence after saying the comments were "outrageous."
"i was so upset with the whole thing I started crying."
Davydenko's reasoning for the lack of attempt has been based on a "dead leg" injury which kept him from playing to his full potential, however whether this is a physical problem or a psychological problem is yet to be confirmed.
Wow... to think Nadal would go to such heights just to beat Federer on court... im not even a fan, i cant stand the man, but thats pretty shocking...
