Pogo

It must be nice to have such a simple existence like Pogo. I wish I have his disposition. He is always happy... to see me, always excited about his food which is exactly the same thing and the same portion every single day. LOL

He sleeps in his crate at night with its limited space and yet I hear him snoring contentedly next to me. He snores and makes breathing noises at night, it is very comforting and helps me sleep actually.

He is my first pet, my first french bulldog. Before him, I had free rein to do whatever I want with my schedule. I could go on out of town trips, sleepovers, leave the house and come back whenever I want to. Now, I have to see if someone could watch him while I'm gone or if the hotel I will be staying at accepts pets, and the last resort is to put him in a pet hotel. Swanky!

He has taught me to be more patient and humble. Humbled most especially when he had diarrhea and I had to pick up his liquidy poop.

When I walk him, especially in the city, some people could not help themselves and would ask to pet him (especially kids!), and I have to stop and smile and exchange pleasantries with the parents, while Pogo basks in their admiration. Before, I would just go on my merry and not so merry way, avoiding eye contacts, not wanting to be bothered.

I enjoy Pogo, I'm glad he is in my life, he is worth the expensive trips to the Vet, his upset stomachs, and his stubbornness which really frustrates the shit out of me at times. But he makes life more interesting and he makes me smile everytime with his cute, smushy and comical face. He follows me around the house and I act annoyed about it, but really in reality, I enjoy the attention!
