Reign, Thanks for noticing my absence :-) Much love!

Monday, I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Without a doubt, not one of my finest moments nor my fondest memories, but I must say I was very brave. I was awake the whole time, numb around the mouth with the anesthesia, loopy and ‘high’ from the laughing gas mask on top of my nose.

Hard to forget the annoyance I felt, when my dentist asked me questions I truly did not care to answer at that time (example: where are you from, have you been teaching Jason tagalog?) when my mouth was wide open, and the laughing gas mask was on my face, and she was waving a big needle in front of me.
My gums felt like they’ve just been sliced, (quite morbid, I know, well stop reading)
I was lightheaded, and I remember trying to answer her in the most dignified way I could, and feeling really pitiful afterwards.

When I came out, I looked like a squirrel, my cheeks had expanded and my lips seemed so…bloated.

I covered my face with my hands when Jason came over. He had fallen asleep in the waiting area with his mouth open.
I asked for a mask, and the dental assistant chided me half-kindly, that I would look even more laughable with a mask on. She said, don’t worry, You’re fine, everyone looks like that coming out of here.

Lots of blood afterwards, I had some soup. I admit I overloaded with heaps and heaps of ice cream, yogurt and shakes the last couple of days. I was quite happy actually, pigging out, in front of the TV.

This extraction business has been a great excuse for falling of the healthy eating (carbs: forbidden, mostly salmon) diet that I’ve been on recently.

It was very nice of my Boo to take a day off work to take care of me. He really can be sweet when he wants to. :-)

On the way to the pharmacy to get my meds, I mumbled through the gauze in my mouth, “I bet you’re happy that I can’t talk right now”. (*Ceasefire from the nagging and yelling*)
He laughed and said maybe they should have sewn my lips together. ha-ha

My coworkers were impressed that I only took 2 days off work. My boss said that she was asleep the whole time (with anesthesia) when she had hers done and had to stay overnight at the hospital. She was horrified that I was fully awake with mine.

Hmm, I feel like an amazon.
