A joke heard from a popular satirist tonight.
Tünnes (a Cologne 'character', translates as 'daffy') walks along a bridge, carrying a prayer book. His friend Schäl (translates as 'cock-eye') sees him and is worried - what is he up to - nothing desperate, we hope?
"Daffy, where are you going?"
"To the brothel, Cock-eye."
"Er - so, why are you carrying your prayer book?"
"I might stay over Sunday."
