A gentle breeze rolls by, ruffling my hair and caressing my skin with the softest touch before disappearing with a quiet whisper.
The sky before me is a bright baby blue; a clear sky so empty that someone could use it as a canvas. The sky behind me is painted in gold: someone has already used the canvas for their purposes.
My neck prickles as the warm rays of the setting sun, in contrast of the cool air wrapping around me, raises the hairs on my bare skin.
One step. Two steps.
My bare feet lands softly with each step, the rough wood beneath scratching at my heels; but I could care less. I close my eyes and keep walking forward, stretching my arms above me and then letting them drop slightly so they are beside me.
One breath. Two breaths.
The calm fresh air of grass and greens fill my lungs. I reopen my eyes and frown as an intruder is spotted in clear canvas. A roll of gray clouds slowly creep forward. I frown with a tsk.
"Still going forward?" A voice cuts from behind me.
I don't turn, but continue staring at the thunder clouds with venom; willing them to disappear.
"You don't know where this is going to lead you..." The same voice again. This time, much softer and gentle.
I step gently, barely making a sound except for the creak of the wood. He steps with thump, shoes scuffing along the wooden boards.
I then feel his radiating warmth behind me, and then beside me. Hands, whether his or mine, itch to hold the others.
"Are you certain about this?" Again, the soft voice. I close my eyes, still walking forward, and listen to the ring of his voice. The low seductive pitch to the rough yet gentle tone of his voice. Also how his sighs sound like a deep musical echo.
My finger twitches and carefully wraps around his pinkie. I don't look at him, and he doesn't look at me. We just continue walking forward.
"We won't be able to turn back..." he voices. No regret, no sadness. Just acceptance.
Our hands are entwined tightly now; a silent vow is spoken that we will never leave the other.
A hand slowly comes to caress my shoulder, up my neck, then my cheek... it slowly runs its long delicate fingers through my hair. I glow at the welcomed touch, the warm hands sending a light shiver down my spine.
"If you're so sure, then who am I to say no?" the hand lingers at the back of my neck, affectionately caressing it. I feel a warm pair of lips, familiar lips, kiss where the hand just was.
This makes my lips curve upward. I finally turn to look at the owner of those familiar lips.
Liquid onyx eyes wink back, the contrasting pale skin adding a white beauty to him. Lips curve into a small smile of ease as his posture reflects his trust and relaxation.
"Let's continue on together," he whispers, soft like the gentle breeze. He lifts our entwined hands and kisses the back of my hand.
I nod and step closer to him, our shoulders brushing and hands in a tighter hold. We continue walking, the long bridge of wood never seeing an end.
"As long as I'm with you, I'm happy to go anywhere." I voice, smiling up at him and at the golden sky.

A/N: This is something that I am going to post rather randomly starting today. I'm just going to call these "Picture Prompts", meaning, that I will write a story based on what I see in a picture. Simple, no? ^^ I just thought it'd be something fun and...stress-free from all my school work :) They will vary in length - could be a drabble, oneshot...heck even a long chaptered series. Just depends how far I want to continue the story I suppose. 八(^□^*)
