I now work at Nintendo in North Bend! I start tomorrow at 4:30 AM. I went in for orientation yesterday. They REALLY need people to work. I explained my situation, how I was on the do not rehire list at Nintendo for something out of my control, how I had Aerotek talking with Nintendo to get me back on as a tester and how I would send letters of recommendation to Nintendo.
This morning, I was told that everything was cleared up and that I could start work tomorrow!
On top of that, Chris from Aerotek wrote me and told me that I am also all clear to start work at Nintendo of Redmond as a product tester on the 18th.
I will be sticking with the warehouse, but it is nice to know that I am no longer on the blacklist. What a torrent of hell and disappointment. I am thrilled that it has completely turned around.
But there's more!
We will be packaging Wii's soon. The world will know within the next 2 days when the system will launch and for how much. I will be given the opportunity to play a Wii in the weeks before it's launch and I will be able to BUY a Wii a week before it is out! As well as games!
Wii party at my place!
This kind of changes a few things. First off, it takes about an hour to get to North Bend from Federal Way. However, my mom lives in Renton, where it takes half an hour. I will be staying there a lot. Eventually I hope for her to move out and me to move into that house. No matter what branch of Nintendo I work at, this is the center point. This also means that my schedule is now screwed for hanging out. Weekends only. I will have to get up at 4 every morning to ENSURE that I get to work on time. I will have to be in bed by 7 or 8.
But hey! WII!!!!!!
