Character Name: Kuwahara Jackal

Appearance & personality: Jackal looks pretty much the same as in canon. He doesn't always have time to shave his head, so he often sports a short black fuzz of hair rather than his canon baldness. He is rather annoyed when people want to pet it. Body-wise, he's lean but sturdy, the result of of a lifetime of rigorous excercise. If you're looking for extra pounds, you don't find them here; he's pure muscle all the way.
Personality-wise, Jackal is the calm and dependable type outside battle. In fighting, his inner "fire" shines through, and he can be quite a fearsome warrior, but when swords are cast away he's generally kind, gentle, and a bit of a worrier. He's loyal to the death and sometimes gets in trouble for his friends. Generally, he's the kind of guy you'd turn to when you have a problem -- he's sure to find some kind of solution.
History: His father a knight, Jackal grew up in the castle of Risath, growing up alongside the crown prince. Trained to be a knight from a very young age, around his teens he was assigned as a sort of bodyguard for Ryoga, though his duties consist more of keeping the prince out of trouble rather than actual battle against attackers. He assists Ryoga in sneaking out and often lies on his behalf, unaware of exactly what the prince is up to but extremely loyal to Ryoga, considering him his closest friend. His loyalty for Ryoga is the only thing that goes before his loyalty for the king and kingdom, and though he is often frustrated by Ryoga's antics and tries to speak him out of them, he is usually easily persuaded to go along. Surely the prince knows what he is doing, and besides it cannot be anything too dangerous... can it?
